I read an excerpt for this book in a magazine (Cosmo? Redbook?) several years ago and picked it up in hard back the day it was launched. I loved it. Killing Me Softly is full of intrigue, danger, lust and passion. Alice's boyfriend wants to take the next step; Alice decides to leave him, based on nothing more than a lusty stare and subsequent tryst with an American stranger she saw on the street. Adam, a mountain climber, something Alice finds daring and exciting to her mundane research scientist life, is not who he seems to be, and yet everything he says he is. Should Alice trust her heart or her head? I was so completely engrossed in this story and I just loved it. It has all the working elements: thrilling, extraordinarily romantic, obsession, fear, love. If you enjoy a psychological thriller, then you will enjoy this book!
